Kris Sowersby: There to There, Live
Kris Sowersby left Whanganui School of Design to find no jobs, so he started a design business with a friend: no money, no clients, no experience. In 2005 he reversed “milk” in his sketchbook and founded Klim Type Foundry, now known worldwide for typefaces like National and Financier. In this live recording of There to There, Stephen McCarthy asks how a largely self-taught designer from Hastings built a global type foundry from Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington, and what the path actually looked like.
