Introducing the NZ Interior Awards 2026

Submissions are now open for the NZ Interior Awards 2026.

An independent, industry-led programme recognising excellence in interior and spatial design across Aotearoa – shaped by the design community and grounded in a rigorous, peer-reviewed process led by Awards Convenor Amanda Harkness.

Projects are assessed through a three-stage process, including live presentations to the jury – creating space for deeper insight, discussion and critical engagement.

  • Entries close – Thur 4 June (midnight)
  • Finalists announced – Wed 10 June
  • Live judging – Tues & Wed 23–24 June (Residium, Parnell)
  • Awards Night – Thurs 23 July (St Matthew-in-the-City)

Professional category winners are considered for the ‘Premier Award’.

Finalists and winners are recognised through NZ Design Week, with opportunities to present, exhibit and engage with a national audience across the 2027 programme.
